There are many different versions of the Porsche 911. There are only four Porsche 911 models to choose from for the 2005 year. Carrera Porsche 911 models are powered by a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine that is rated at 325-horsepower. Porsche 914 Parts

Porsche 944 Parts

Some Porsche 944 models are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, while others have a 2.7-liter. The engines inside Porsche 944 models are equipped with twin balance shafts and electronic fuel-injection and are manufactured entirely out of alloy to minimize vibration. The Porsche 944 S uses a 2.5-liter double-overhead-camshaft, 16--valve cylinder head engine. A torque-tube runs from the engine to the transaxle gearbox which is mounted at the back of the Porsche 944 for a perfectly balanced distribution. The S2 version of the Porsche 944 is equipped with a 3.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The Turbo version of the Porsche 944 has a 2.5-liter single overhead camshaft. Porsche Carrera Parts

The S version Porsche Carrera models have been clocked at 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds. 2005 Porsche Carrera models are built with a six-speed manual gearbox. Most Porsche Caterra S models come with 19-inch wheels with red brake calipers on each individual wheel. Basic Porsche Carrera models have black calipers on each wheel. Braking power is quick and efficient, as it should be, since the Porsche Carrera can top out at 182 mph. Some Porsche Carrera models come standard with a Porsche Active Suspension Management System. This system lowers the car by 1/3 of an inch while increasing damper forces on both axles to evade sway. The rear spoiler on some Porsche Carrera models can be raised or lowered manually using a switch located on the dash board. The seats in most Porsche Carrera models adjust forward, backward, up, down, and even bolster to keep you snuggly sitting in your seat while taking tough corners. The cargo area of the Porsche Carrera measures 4.8 cubic feet. On the dash board facing the driver, the in-dash information system and onboard computer are easy to see in the Porsche Carrera.


Porsche Boxster Parts

Porsche Boxster models entered the showroom in 1997. Porsche Boxster models are two-seat roadsters. A six-cylinder 2.5-liter dual-overhead-cam engine is located behind the cockpit of the Porsche Boxster. The Porsche Boxster comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox, however, a 5-speed "Tiptronic" transmission is optional. The Tiptronic is an automatic transmission that has the ability to shift manually. Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes come standard on the Porsche Boxster. The soft top on the Porsche Boxster is power-operated. There is a total of 9.1 cubic feet of storage space in the Porsche Boxster. During turns at higher speeds, the Porsche Boxster holds it's own by staying sure-footed and stable. Porsche Boxster models equipped with manual gear shift have been clocked at 0-60 mph in 7.5-seconds. Although the Porsche Boxster is a performance vehicle, it offers outstanding fuel economy, which is rated 21.7 mpg city/highway.
